Chantelle Fleury
Executive Assistant, Indigenous Engagement
Chantelle was adopted and raised in Virden Manitoba by a Métis family with roots in Fort Ellice Manitoba in Treaty 2 Territory. Her birth family’s roots are in Tataskweyak Cree Nation in Treaty 5 Territory. She was raised in a traditional Métis home learning from her Mémère (Grandmother). Chantelle is the Executive Assistant to the Vice Provost, Indigenous Engagement, at the University of Saskatchewan. Her work consists of critical communication including scheduling and organizing calendars; reviewing, prioritizing, and responding to inquiries; organizing documents; maintaining records; and any other administrative tasks. Chantelle has built and maintained many relationships with elders across many Treaty areas. Her upbringing and interactions with Elders has afforded her the opportunity to learn the Michif Language.
