Senior Strategic Officer, Indigenous EngagementAmaranta Sokół Como is from Duck Lake, SK, is a member of Beardy’s and Okemasis Cree Nation and has family roots in Poland. Amaranta’s career has been driven by a focus on Indigenous education and she is a USask alumna with a Bachelor of Education, Master of Education, and Certificate in Leadership in Post-Secondary Education. Amaranta oversees the Oyateki Partnership within OVPIE where she contributes her knowledge and experience on Indigenous post-secondary student success. She also supports campus in uplifting and navigating the deybwewin | taapwaywin | tapwewin: Indigenous Truth policy. Amaranta serves as a committee member of: Strategic Enrolment Intelligence Advisory Team, Scholarships and Awards Committee, Indigenous Advisory Circle, Learning Analytics working group, and several Kahkisiw Community of Practices.
